A nice post. I'm looking forward to reading my ebook and finding out about what's happening in the world on my MID (mobile internet device) as I sip my latté on the train this afternoon.

With the Millenials already speding LOTS of time in places like Starbucks, from what I've seen, I can only agree with what was said above.

Maybe we need to add the distributors and creators of mobile phone/PDA's to the list. With quadriband and progressively faster and faster mobile internet access, the future looks sweet...

What we really need is one of those sites like f***d company.com which we can use to collaboratively capture fates of dinosaurs and mammals. Alex and Steve, how 'bout that for this site as an extra? Maybe dinosAndMammals.com is still available.

Great list. I would your first dinosaur to include DVDs and Blu-Ray. And I would add "Cloud Services" providers on the mammal list. As cloudworking becomes more common, Amazon, Google, and all the others on the "cloud as a commodity" path will grow as strong as electricity and water companies (but without the geographic monopolies - and hopefully no Enrons ;o)
